Paradise - Local

Situated between Ras Um Sid and Amphoras you can easily spot this site by the Cleopatra’s needle statue at the Waterfalls Hotel. Jumping at the floating jetty in front of the hotel the reef descends to approx. 12 metres then slopes off fairly quickly to the drop off at 22 metres. Following the reef with it on your left hand side a few metres from the jetty is a large pinnacle the top is 16 metres, spend some time here as frog fish have been spotted on this pinnacle in the past, there is a large fan coral with glass fish swarming around it. And a yellow mouthed moray that lives close by. Continue the dive between 18-22 metres as there are a few pinnacles to stop and explore, in the summer afternoons keep an eye up and in the blue as Mantas often pass by here.
Often the current changes but then bring the dive shallow and turn around and explore the reef wall for scorpion fish and nudibranchs.
