If you're planning diving in Sharm El Sheikh, no trip is complete without experiencing the spectacular reefs of Ras Mohammed National Park. Located at the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula, this protected marine reserve is widely regarded as one of the finest diving destinations in the world. With dramatic walls, colourful coral gardens, schooling fish and regular encounters with pelagic species, diving in Ras Mohammed is a must for every diver visiting Egypt.

Why Dive in Ras Mohammed National Park?

Established in 1983, Ras Mohammed National Park protects some of the most pristine reefs in the Red Sea. The unique meeting point of the Gulf of Aqaba and Gulf of Suez creates nutrient-rich currents that support an abundance of marine life and stunning coral formations. Famous sites such as Shark Reef and Yolanda Reef are consistently ranked among the best dive sites in the world.

Visibility often exceeds 30 metres, making conditions ideal for underwater photography and marine life encounters. Divers regularly spot:

·        Giant Napoleon wrasse

·        Barracuda schools

·        Tuna and jackfish

·        Moray eels

·        Turtles

·        Rays

·        Reef sharks during the summer months

·        Hundreds of species of hard and soft corals
