Boat Diving In Sharm el-Sheikh FAQs
What time do boat diving days start?
Normally, pickup from your hotel or accommodation will be
between 8 and 9 am to transfer you to the jetty/marina.
Boats will leave at approx. 9.30 – 10am with a sailing time
of 40 minutes to 1 ½ hours depending on your destination.
Return to the jetty can vary by season with boats expected
back in the marina by 5pm in summer months.
Are Food and Drink Available on the
Boats?
Yes, for a nominal charge, soft drinks, drinking water, tea
and coffee facilities are available all day. At lunchtime between dives, a
buffet-style luncheon is freshly prepared every day by our onboard chef and the
crew. Many divers say “boat food” is one of the highlights of their diving
holiday, with a varied menu served every day.
Is Alcohol Allowed on The Dive Boat?
No, alcohol is not permitted on the daily boats. Often, bags
will be searched by the marine police, and any alcohol confiscated. With no
alcohol advised between dives, we will not permit alcohol on a daily dive boat.
How Many Dives on A Daily Dive Boat?
Normally two dives, a first dive in the morning before lunch
and then a second in the afternoon, often at a different site. Third scuba
dives are available but will incur an extra charge.
Are the Circle Divers Boats in Sharm
el Sheikh Safe?
Yes, both our boats, Eagle Ray and Dive Runner M/Y, meet all
safety standards of the Egyptian CDWS (Chamber of Diving and Water Sports).
Both are fitted with a regularly inspected fire protection
system and carry lifejackets and buoyancy aids in the event of an emergency.
Although currents can often be strong, both our boats are
sturdy vesselsand provide a comfortable ride for all guests.
