Why Choose The Red Sea and Circle Divers For Your Winter Escape
Winter is coming, and the skies in Europe will soon be getting greyer as the temperatures drop. It's at this time of year that many choose to chase the winter sunshine. But it’s also the ideal time for a scuba diving trip to Sharm el Sheikh or Dahab! 1. Flights to Egypt and the Red Sea are much shorter than many other winter sunshine destinations. Many popular winter holiday spots, such as the Caribbean (a 12-hour flight time) and the Great Barrier Reef in Australia (a 30-hour flight), can be double the relatively short flight of 6 hours or less to our dive centre in Sharm el Sheikh or Dahab. 2. Over 40 direct flights a week from Europe & the UK. Every winter, many of the direct flights to Sharm el Sheikh, which disappear from the summer timetables, reappear in mid-September to October. 3. More cost-effective - flights are not only shorter, but if you look around, you will also find that much less expensive than other long-haul flights to further afield winter sun destinations. 4. Some of the best dive sites in the world - literally on your doorstep. Sites such as Shark & Yolanda, the Blue Hole of Dahab, Jackson Reef, and SS Thistlegorm are constantly rated in the top 10 dive sites of the world. 5. Diving in Sharm and Dahab tends to be less expensive than many other exotic destinations. Look at the PADI Travel website and you will soon notice the difference. A 2-dive half day in the Caribbean will typically cost over €130, whereas in Sharm a 2-dive one-day package will be less than €100. 6. Safety matters most to Circle Divers in the Red Sea. At both our dive centres in Dahab and Sharm el Sheikh, customer safety is our top priority. We aim to offer diving of the best quality in the safest of conditions. 7. Dive instructors who speak your language. In the Red Sea, there are many multilingual diving instructors. At Circle Divers, we can accommodate guests who speak English, German, Arabic, Dutch, and French. 8. No thrill seeking cheap adrenaline trips. The Red Sea is where real divers come to dive. There’s no chumming of sharks or other marine life to provide cheap thrills for guests. No cage diving, no spear fishing trips, and all divers are encouraged to maintain a safe distance from marine wildlife and corals. 9. Plenty of hotel options in both Dahab and Sharm El Sheikh to suit every budget.. We always recommend you choose a hotel near the dive centre (there are many nearby) - less time spent travelling, more eco-conscious with less transport needed, and more time to enjoy a deco beer after a day diving. 10. Going out in Sharm el Sheikh or Dahab will generally be much less expensive than resorts in the Maldives, Caribbean, or even some of the Asian dive spots. Whether you are fed up with the hotel food, want to go out for an end of trip gathering with fellow divers you have met or just fancy a few drinks wathcing the footie, Sharm has a diverse range of bars, restaurants and cafes to choose from. And finally.....THE WEATHER! Winter in Sharm is still warmer than most places in the Northern Hemisphere in September to December. With daytime temperatures of 20 - 30 degrees C, winter time in Sharm is the favourite time of many of the locals and returning dive guests – you don’t have to cope with the MAD heat of the Summer.
