Circle DIvers Mini Safari with M/Y Diverunner
How did you spend your Valentine’s Day
weekend? We had a great weekend (12th – 15th February) as
M/Y Dive Runner successfully completed our first own mini
safari with Circle Divers to the local sites and Ras Mohammed
M/Y Dive Runner – A Red Sea Legend
When divers start
swapping stories about Red Sea safaris, one name comes up again and again — M/Y
Dive Runner. For more than 30 years, she’s been a familiar sight on the
water and, for many divers, their very first liveaboard experience in the Red
Sea.
Originally designed by
Udo Fischer in 1993, Dive Runner was built in Suez before making her way to
Sharm El Sheikh, where she quickly became part of the local diving fabric. M/Y
Dive Runner was originally skippered by her designer, the renowned sea dog, Udo
who with 16 years experience was one of the most skilled Red Sea captains.
Ownership passed to
two Austrian divers in the early 2000s, before a British couple fell in love
with Dive Runner and purchased the safari boat with many European divers
roaming the Red Sea aboard M/Y Dive
Runner over the years.
In addition to being
well maintained with periods of dry dock every year, M/Y Dive Runner had a
major refit in 2004 with a rebuild and redesign in 2014 but maintains the
original vibe of the boat.
In 2025, Dive Runner
proudly joined the Circle fleet at Circle Divers, beginning an exciting new
chapter while keeping the character and spirit that made her so popular in the
first place.
M/Y Dive Runner was
fully refurbished again in 2025. Today, she meets all the latest Ministry of
Tourism safety standards while offering the comfort, space, and relaxed
atmosphere our guests expect when exploring the incredible Red Sea.
Whether it’s your
first safari or your fiftieth, stepping aboard Dive Runner feels a little like
becoming part of Red Sea diving history — and we’re proud to continue her
story.
Discover Circle

per day (schedule dependent), exploring some of the most iconic Red Sea
diving locations in the region.
