TDI Trimix Diver
TDI Advanced Nitrox & Decompression Procedures Diver or equivalent
Proof of 100 logged dives
Description :
The Trimix Diver course trains experienced technical divers to safely conduct deep dives beyond extended range limits by using trimix breathing gases containing helium, oxygen, and nitrogen. The use of helium significantly reduces narcosis, improves clarity, and enhances safety when diving at greater depths.
This course builds on Advanced Nitrox, Decompression Procedures, and Extended Range training, focusing on advanced dive planning, gas selection, decompression strategies, and risk management for deep technical dives. Divers learn how to manage multiple gases, conduct precise gas switches, and handle complex decompression obligations.
Strong emphasis is placed on team diving, redundancy, situational awareness, and problem-solving in demanding deep-water environments. The Trimix course represents a major step into full technical deep diving, opening access to deep wrecks, walls, and exploration dives.
What you will learn:
• Trimix theory and gas selection
• Managing narcosis and high-pressure effects
• Advanced decompression planning and execution
• Use of multiple bottom and decompression gases
• Equipment configuration for deep technical diving
• Emergency and contingency procedures at depth
Who this course is for:
• Certified Extended Range or equivalent technical divers
• Divers planning to exceed recreational and XR depth limits
• Experienced technical divers seeking safer deep diving
