TDI Extended Range Diver
TDI Advanced Nitrox & Decompression Procedures Diver or equivalent
Proof of 100 logged dives
Description :
The Extended Range Diver course is designed for experienced divers who want to push beyond recreational depth limits while maintaining strict safety, planning, and control. This course introduces deeper diving techniques and advanced gas management, allowing divers to safely explore depths of up to 45–55 meters (depending on training standards and configuration).
Building on Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures training, the Extended Range course focuses on precise dive planning, situational awareness, teamwork, and redundancy. Divers learn how to manage increased depth, narcosis, gas consumption, and decompression obligations using appropriate equipment and procedures.
The course places strong emphasis on problem-solving, buoyancy and trim, emergency response, and maintaining control in demanding environments. Extended Range is a major milestone for divers preparing for deeper technical diving and future training such as trimix.
What you will learn:
• Deep dive planning and gas management
• Managing narcosis and increased task loading
• Advanced ascent and decompression techniques
• Team diving and communication at depth
• Equipment configuration for extended range diving
• Emergency and contingency procedures
Who this course is for:
• Advanced Nitrox & Decompression Procedures certified divers
• Experienced divers looking to extend depth limits
• Divers preparing for trimix or advanced technical courses
