TDI Decompression Procedures Diver
SDI Advanced Adventure Diver, Advanced Diver or equivalent
Medically fit to dive
Description :
The Decompression Procedures Diver course trains divers to plan and conduct mandatory decompression dives safely and efficiently. This course builds on advanced nitrox knowledge and introduces the techniques, equipment, and procedures required to manage staged decompression using one or more decompression gases.
Divers learn how to plan dives beyond no-decompression limits, calculate decompression schedules, manage gas switches, and handle potential problems during decompression. A strong emphasis is placed on precise dive planning, buoyancy control, situational awareness, and emergency procedures.
This course is an essential step for divers progressing into technical diving, allowing them to safely extend bottom time and depth while maintaining a high level of safety and control throughout the dive.
What you will learn:
• Decompression theory and planning
• Use of decompression gases up to 100% oxygen
• Gas switching procedures and safety protocols
• Equipment configuration for decompression diving
• Managing decompression stops and ascent control
• Emergency and contingency procedures
Who this course is for:
• Advanced Nitrox certified divers
• Divers preparing for technical and extended range diving
• Experienced divers seeking longer and more complex dives
